Mon-Fri 7-3:
30; every other weekend Sa-Sun 7-3:
30pm; 2 major and 1 minor holiday The Narcotic Technician is responsible for, but not limited to:
Perform compliance tasks and related activities in support of DEA, Federal and state controlled medication dispensing processes.
Fill all controlled substance prescriptions for all facilities as directed (inclusive of all controlled substance STAT labels/prescriptions).
Check accuracy of perpetual inventory and report any discrepancies to the supervising pharmacist.
Run inventory and regulatory reports as needed by pharmacy, or as required by DEA, OIG, Federal or state law or regulation.
Check all orders for accuracy, logging drugs received into appropriate record books and reporting any discrepancies to the Supervising Pharmacist or Pharmacist in Charge.
Handle inventory, responsible for all reports, discrepancies and missing product.
Package all controlled substance medications in either pre-pack unit-of-use packaging, or resident-specific packaging.
File and track all copies of documents necessary to keep pharmacy compliant with all DEA, Federal and state laws and regulations.
Maintain Narcotics Room cleanliness and compliance.
Access, input and retrieve information to/from the computer.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Maintain in-stock by ensuring all inventory management policies and procedures are followed.
Utilize appropriate report(s) to maintain replenishment.
Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return.
Assist floor technicians when additional help is required on the floor.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent Professional
Experience:
1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience PTCB, a plus Knowledge of controlled drug packaging procedures, preferred Knowledge of DEA and Federal Laws for CII-CV prescriptions, preferred Partners Pharmacy - Our mission is to define excellence within the health care community.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
